it's a kitchen

place A3 is a kitchen designed for hugo. hugo is a hardworking single man. he wanted a kitchen where he could give free rein to his cooking skills on weekends and where he could entertain friends while he cooks. hugo is a real ‘bon vivant’ and that are my kind of people. I designed an open kitchen where the interior is closely connected with the exterior. the extension was built entirely in a concrete structure and the walls were left untreated, both inside and out. the design language is brutalist. the materials used are walnut for the cabinets and travertine for the kitchen top. the earthy colors bring the rough walls back into balance.
